The Bonner Zentrum für Hochschullehre (BZH) is a central operating unit supervised by the Rectorate and, in cooperation with internal and external partners, offers cross-faculty guidance, support and services for core tasks in the fields of studies and teaching.

To fulfill its function as a cross-faculty service institution for studies and teaching, the BZH is managed in close coordination with a steering committee comprising the Prorector for Teaching Studies, the Deans of Studies and the Chairman of the Board of the Bonner Zentrum für Lehrerbildung (BZL). The Vicerector for Teaching and Learning is both Chairwoman of the steering committee and Director of the BZH. The head of the Division for Teaching and Learning is a member of the steering committee in an advisory capacity. A university-wide networking via committees as well as thematically structured task forces and project groups, which are specifically or loosely aligned with the respective areas of work or services of the BZH, also ensures efficientcoordination with regard to decisions on content.

The BZH is funded by the BMBF as part of the Bund-Länder-Program for improved study conditions and more quality in teaching (Quality Pact for Teaching).
